a posteriori note … meaning to^nan did not realize that was what it was … it’s completely on “automatic” in some way …:
this note happens to cross path with sampling theorems … to^nan did not know that it would so cross path …: the sam in sampling … sa’m = penitent … to^nan did not know that that’s what “sampling” might have suggested …: if one is familiar with native american indian “stuck a feather in his cap … cap = a funeral band … and call it macaroni” as in movie where a white woman helps a sick native and native american indian silently yielding the land to little brother … or if one is familiar with the puritan way of life then one might be aware that their work and life and act is all penitential … penitential … e.g. these notes are penitential … the penitentence incidentally/co-incidentally has the humbling and therefore stabilizing/stability [arrogance = kie^u = ke^./ignore ye^u/love/lo ve^`/return = unsustainable = “going down”] effect for the victims/victors is beside the point …
… “religion is what a man does in his solitariness” lawrence welk show on fall of berlin wall 11/9/2014 has anaconda making peace sign and sings song “i love to help you but if it’s something you have to do alone then it’s all right” … all your acts such as writing notes should be but a means/crutch [a penitence] to an [crutchless] end of “muo^n loa`i ddu+o+.c bi`nh thu+o+`ng so^’ng la^u; everyone live well and long”
sometimes after this note was written there was a ruckus in the neighborhood … starting with to^nddi.nh suv being bumped into in 99 ranch parking lot … people trying to turn penitence into their “cake and ale” mentioned elsewhere… the ruckus has an opposite the effect intended from the intended effect of silent “penitent” … sampling theorem and denison chili from target and sa’m ho^’i or silent reverie over ni su+ vie^n lu+o+ng’s passing …
sampling theorems such as nyquist and 3 points determined a circle were mentioned previously before in connection with ryan nyquist bmx bicycle race elsewhere in other notes while ni su+ vie^n lu+o+ng was alive … her passing is not the occasion of its revelation … she and her life is priceless … as she herself taught … so no “make up” or “dde^`n” … denison dde^`n i ching son/sun from target … is required nor relevant … 11/11/2014 father put “comforting” flower blanket over family graves which suggests dde^`n make up or “comforting” is futile … go right ahead with the cake and ale and don’t mind to^nan and his acts/notes …

“The Hollow Men” (1925) is a poem by T. S. Eliot. Its themes are, like many of Eliot’s poems, overlapping and fragmentary, but it is recognized to be concerned most with post-World War I Europe under the Treaty of Versailles (which Eliot despised: compare “Gerontion”) … c.f. gregory bateson’s the hurt of betrayal dahlia bie^’t la^.t nhu+ng chu+a bie^’t bo` … , the difficulty of hope and religious conversion, and, as some critics argue, Eliot’s own failed marriage (Vivienne Eliot might have been having an affair with Bertrand Russell).[1] The poem is divided into five parts and consists of 98 lines of which the last four are “probably the most quoted lines of any 20th-century poet writing in English”.[2] from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hollow_Men

the fake pussy and the emperor’s ghost army would suggest: “live your life” don’t follow us “hollow men” … one can imagine jesus christ “let the dead [“hollow”] bury their dead [let the living = not hollow] come follow me [and live on: for “life goes on”

“I Will Remember You” is a song written by Sarah McLachlan, Séamus Egan and Dave Merenda. The song first appeared on the soundtrack for the movie The Brothers McMullen in 1995 and 1996 where it peaked at #65 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart & #10 in Canada and was featured on her remix album Rarities, B-Sides and Other Stuff. The original inspiration came from Seamus Egan’s instrumental song “Weep Not for the Memories”, which appeared on his album A Week in January (1990). McLachlan and Merenda added lyrics and modified the melody for her version. It was re-released and became a hit when McLachlan released a live version of the song on her 1999 album Mirrorball placing at #14 in the US on July 20, 1999, after reaching the Top 40 on June 8 and it peaked again at #10 in Canada.
The live version of “I Will Remember You” earned McLachlan her third straight Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance nomination in 2000 (after “Building a Mystery” in 1998 and “Adia” in 1999). The song won the award, becoming McLachlan’s second award in the category after “Building a Mystery”.
The Rarities version of the song has three verses, the first of which is omitted during live performances (as heard on Mirrorball).
Sarah McLachlan performed this song during an “in memoriam” slide show at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards, held on September 20, 2009. from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Will_Remember_You_(Sarah_McLachlan_song)
“I Will Remember You”
I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Remember the good times that we had?
I let them slip away from us when things got bad
How clearly I first saw you smilin’ in the sun
Wanna feel your warmth upon me, I wanna be the one
I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
I’m so tired but I can’t sleep
Standin’ on the edge of something much too deep
It’s funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word
We are screaming inside, but we can’t be heard
But I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
I’m so afraid to love you, but more afraid to loose
Clinging to a past that doesn’t let me choose
Once there was a darkness, deep and endless night
You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light
And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Weep not for the memories

NIBBANA IS UNALLOYED BLISS
Milindapanha 313-315.
“Reverend Nagasena, is Nibbana unalloyed bliss, or is it alloyed with
pain?” “Nibbana, great king, is unalloyed bliss; it is not alloyed with
pain.” “I, Reverend Nagasena, do not believe that statement: ‘Nib-
bana is unalloyed bliss.’ This, Reverend Nagasena, is my firm convic-
tion on the subject: ‘Nibbana is alloyed with ^pain.’ Now I have a
reason to give for this statement: ‘Nibbana is alloyed with pain.’ What
is the reason for this ?
“Reverend Nagasena, in the case of all those who seek after
Nibbana, plainly evident are their effort and exertion of body and
mind, their self-restraint in standing and walking and sitting and
lying and eating, their suppression of sleep, their repression of the
Organs of Sense, their renunciation of goods and grain and of dear
kinsfolk and friends.
“Now persons in the world who are happy, who are endowed with
happiness, all with one accord please and increase their Organs of
Sense : the eye with all manner of delightful visible obj ects which yield
pleasurable reflexes ; the ear with songs and strains ; the nose with
odors of flowers, fruits, leaves, bark, roots, essences; the tongue with
flavors of hard and soft food and of sippings and drinkings and tast-
ings ; the body with contacts with obj ects both delicate and fine, both
soft and mild; the mind by fixing the attention of the thoughts on all
manner of delightful objects of thought, both good and evil, both pure
and impure.
“But you strike at and strike down, hew at and hew down, obstruct
and impede, the increase of eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind.
Therefore both the body suffers and the mind suffers. When the body
suffers, sensations of bodily pain are experienced; when the mind
suffers, sensations of mental pain are experienced. Did not also Magan-
diya the wandering ascetic, in railing at the Exalted One, say this: ‘A
Destroyer of Increase is the monk Gotama’ ? This is my reason for
saying: ‘Nibbana is alloyed with pain.’ ”
“No indeed, great king, Nibbana is not alloyed with pain; Nibbana
is unalloyed bliss. Now, great king, as to your statement that Nibbana
is pain, — ^this pain is not Nibbana at all; this is only the beginning of
the realization of Nibbana, this is only the seeking after Nibbana.
Nibbana, great king, is unalloyed bliss, pure and simple; it is not
alloyed with pain. Let me explain what I mean.”
… well, the sun sets and the sun also rises and one can sort of tell when is night and when is day … though when on is in orbit or in outer space the sun neither sets nor rises … in the same way suffering is suffering wellness is wellness and “i am that/who i am” …
95. BLISS OF SOVEREIGNTY
Great king, do kings enjoy the bliss of sovereignty.” — ^Yes, Rev-
erend Sir, kings enjoy the bliss of sovereignty.
Now, great king, is this bliss of sovereignty alloyed with pain.**
— No indeed. Reverend Sir.
But, great king, what have you to say to this.? When a border-
province breaks into insurrection, in order to quell those border-
inhabitants, kings go afield with their retinues of ministers and
captains and soldiers and servants, permit themselves to be tor-
mented by gnats and mosquitoes, by wind and sun, hurry this way
and that over even and uneven ground, wage mighty battles, and
risk their lives !
Reverend Nagasena, this is not the bliss of sovereignty; this is
only a preliminary to the quest of the bliss of sovereignty. With
pain, Reverend Nagasena, do kings seek after sovereignty; then
they enjoy the bliss of sovereignty. Thus, Reverend Nagasena, the
bliss of sovereignty is not alloyed with pain. Bliss of sovereignty
is one thing; pain is quite another.
“Precisely so, great king^ Nibbana is unalloyed bliss …”

Mỗi năm hoa đào nở
Lại thấy ông đồ già
Bày mực tàu, giấy đỏ
Bên phố đông người qua
Bao nhiêu người thuê viết
Tấm tắc ngợi khen tài
Hoa tay thảo những nét
Như phượng múa, rồng bay
Nhưng mỗi năm, mỗi vắng
Người thuê viết nay đâu
Giấy đỏ buồn không thắm
Mực đọng trong nghiên sầu
Ông đồ vẫn ngồi đấy
Qua đường không ai hay
Lá vàng rơi trên giấy
Ngoài trời mưa bụi bay
Năm nay đào lại nở
Không thấy ông đồ xưa
Những người muôn năm cũ
Hồn ở đâu bây giờ ?

“Void In My Heart”
There’s a void in my heart
I can’t seem to fill.
Been a parent, had three children
And a big house on the hill.

Hundred dollar in my pocket
And it didn’t buy a thing.
Now there’s a void in my heart
And a hole in my dreams.
Well I poured miles of concrete
And strung wire for telephones,
Dug ditches when I was a young boy
When I first left my parents’ home.
Sang my songs for millions of people,
Sang good and bad news,
Now there’s a void in my heart
And a fire at my fuse.
Well I did everything just like they said
So I could find happiness.
Went to school and got a college degree
And at my job I did my best.
As I sit here alone tonight
I see a billion just like me
With a void in their hearts and running from eternity.
There’s a void in my heart I can’t seem to fill.
I do charity work when I believe in the cause
But in my soul it bothers me still.
Hey, Lord, well you made me like I am.
Can You heal this restlessness?
Will there be a void in my heart
When they carry me out to rest?

However, some substitute the above with a (Mahāyāna) version taken from the Lotus Sutra which reads:
自皈依佛,當願眾生,體解大道,發無上心。(I take refuge in the Buddha, wishing for all sentient beings to understand the great way and make the greatest vow.) (I take refuge in the Dharma, wishing for all sentient beings to deeply delve into the Sutra Pitaka, gaining an ocean of knowledge.) (I take refuge in the Sangha, wishing all sentient beings to lead the congregation in harmony, entirely without obstruction.)
Tibetan : The basic refuge in Tibetan is:

The Battle of the Little Bighorn, commonly referred to as Custer’s Last Stand, was an armed engagement between combined forces of the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, andArapaho tribes, against the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army. The battle, which occurred June 25–26, 1876, near the Little Bighorn River in eastern Montana Territory, was the most prominent action of the Great Sioux War of 1876. It was an overwhelming victory for the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho, led by several major war leaders, including Crazy Horse and Chief Gall, inspired by the visions of Sitting Bull (Tȟatȟáŋka Íyotake). The U.S. 7th Cavalry, including the Custer Battalion, a force of 700 men led by George Armstrong Custer, suffered a severe defeat.
from 10 myths of the little big horn battle:
The 7th Cavalry on June 25, 1876, consisted of about 31 officers, 586 soldiers, 33 Indian scouts and 20 civilian employees. They did not all die. When the smoke cleared on the evening of June 26, 262 were dead, 68 were wounded and six later died of their wounds. Custer’s Battalion – C, E, F, I and L companies – was wiped out, but the majority of the seven other companies under Major Marcus Reno and Captain Frederick Benteen survived. – See more at: http://www.historynet.com/ten-myths-of-the-little-bighorn.htm#sthash.r8c2XqXQ.dpuf

The real story of the Little Big Horn begins a thousand bitter miles southward in a drift of burning tipi ashes on the banks of the Washita. There, in November 1868, Custer and his men murdered the sleeping village of peace chief Black Kettle. synopsis for

]While there are some aspects, such as the conversations between the soldiers, that are fictionalized, the bulk of the story is historically accurate. The personalities of the principals are accurately captured, the speech attributed to Custer, his officers, Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse are all consistent with other biographical material that I have read. Henry tries to avoid making value judgements on the circumstances, although it is hard not to criticize the rapacious actions of the whites as they are destroying the Indian culture and largely exterminating entire villages. This is an excellent description of one of the turning points in the Indian wars of the western expansion of the American nation. For in their great victory, the Indians found only defeat, effectively giving up the fight, although in their defense, had they not surrendered, they probably would have been exterminated as a people.review forCuster’s Last Stand Hardcover – Large Print, October, 2004

Banchan (Hangul: 반찬; hanja: 飯饌; English pronunciation: /ˈbɑːntʃɑːn/; also spelled panch’an) refers to small dishes of food served along with cooked rice in Korean cuisine. This word is used both in the singular and plural. The word Banchan translated into English means side dish.
The basic table setting for a meal called ‘bansang’ (반상) usually consists of bap (밥, cooked rice),guk or tang (soup), gochujang or ganjang, jjigae, and kimchi. According to the number of banchanadded, the table setting is called 3 cheop (삼첩), 5 cheop (오첩), 7 cheop (칠첩), 9 cheop (구첩),12 cheop (십이첩) bansang, with the 12 cheop used in Korean royal cuisine.[1]
Banchan are set in the middle of the table to be shared. At the center of the table is the secondary main course, such as galbi or bulgogi, and a shared pot of jjigae. Bowls of cooked rice and guk (soup) are set individually. Banchan are served in small portions, meant to be finished at each meal and are replenished during the meal if not enough. Usually, the more formal the meals are, the more banchan there will be. Jeolla province is particularly famous for serving many different varieties of banchan in a single meal.[2]from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banchan
Banchan (also spelled panchan), is the collective term for all the varieties of small side dishes that accompany Korean meals, and may be comprised of several different types of dishes such as kimchi, namul, bokkeum, jorim, jjim, jeon, and others.
Banchan dishes are set in the middle of the table and are intended to be shared.
History
Banchan as it is known today was probably the result of Buddhist influence begining sometime around the mid Three Kingdoms period. The dominant Kingdoms of Korea adopted Buddhism as state religions and a near Korea wide proscription against eating meat was instituted. With the banning of meat dishes, vegetable arrays rose in prominence and became the primary feature of meals. Court kitchens developed a variety of methods for preparing, cooking, and presenting these dishes to the Kings and nobles. Smaller arrays were developed by the less affluent or common people.
The Mongol invasions ended the proscriptions against meat and meat offerings again appeared in Korean meals, but nearly six centuries of vegetarian fare had indelibly stamped Korean cuisine.
Types of Banchan
Banchan dishes fall into several broad categories, with numerous types in each category. The main categories are Kimchi, Namul, Bokkeum (wet or dry), Jorim, Jjim, and Jeon.

“Downtown”
When you’re alone and life is making you lonely
You can always go downtown
When you’ve got worries, all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know, downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown
Things will be great when you’re downtown
No finer place for sure, downtown
Everything’s waiting for you
Don’t hang around and let your problems surround you
There are movie shows downtown
Maybe you know some little places to go to
Where they never close downtown
Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle bossa nova
You’ll be dancing with ’em too before the night is over
Happy again
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown
Where all the lights are bright, downtown
Waiting for you tonight, downtown
You’re gonna be alright now, downtown
Downtown
Downtown
And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you
Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand to
Guide them along
So maybe I’ll see you there
We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares
So go downtown
Things will be great when you’re downtown
Don’t wait a minute more, downtown
Everything is waiting for you, downtown

I’d tried to tell the woman but she doesn’t believe a word I said
Go light pretty baby… Gonna need my help some day
It’s all right pretty baby… Gonna need my help some day
You’re gonna wish you listened to some of those things I said
Go ahead pretty baby
Oh, honey knock yourself out
Go ahead pretty baby

Purpling or reddening of blueberry leaves may be attributed to two causes. The first isSeasonal Temperature Change. The second is Phosphorus Deficiency.
1. Fall Reddening – Blueberry leaves develop a maroon color in autumn as a normal response to lowering temperatures. Less frequently, blueberry leaves may develop a reddish-purplish hue in spring if the weather is cold. This coloration disappears with the arrival of warmer weather. from http://www.fruit.cornell.edu/berrytool/blueberry/leaves/BBphos.htm
the “form” of things determine their “yielding” or “Godliness” because “God is love/lo ve^`/ye^u/yield/forgive” properties: here deficiency or surplus in leaves shows up first where the leaf “form” is “sharpest”/”sa(‘c” at tips and edges of leaves … “sa(‘c la` kho^ng kho^ng la` sa(‘c” … looking sharp for you or for himself/herself … “beauty/sa(‘c ~ difference/differential is in the eye of the beholder” … don’t look “have eyes/ears/mouths but as though see/hear/say no evil only see/hear/say good/goodness/godliness/god” and save the beauties “there’s beauty but as though there’s no beauty” … one can also have a “well-rounded” beauty

Tái ông thất mã, an tri họa phúc

When she was a child and a teenager, food often was scarce or nonexistent, and lunch, if she was lucky, sometimes came from classmates’ castoffs and scraps found in the school restroom garbage can. Now, she can afford to eat anything she wants anywhere she chooses.
Then, she survived with her three siblings, sleeping in cardboard boxes for beds in houses, shacks and even a railroad station often without electricity and sometimes without an indoor toilet or bathtub or heat. Now, as an adult she can say, though she’s too humble to brag, she’s lived in a Park Avenue apartment decorated with Persian rugs and framed Georgian maps and currently resides in a Virginia country house boasting wide-planked floorboards, big fireplaces and a swimming pool.
Then, in the schools of Welch, West Virginia, she was reviled as an outsider because she wasn’t from “around here,” because her family was poor, and, ironically, because she was smart. Now, she’s revered as an insider who graduated from an Ivy League school and became a successful journalist, who has written for Esquire, USA Today and currently writes a gossip column for MSNBC.com .
In The Glass Castle, Jeannette Walls shares these and other stories about growing up with parents who were intellectually and artistically brilliant but unorthodox and even neglectful when it came to child rearing. Walls, whose book has been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, ABC’s The View and recently acclaimed by First Lady Laura Bush, is genuinely humble.
The Glass Castle is a remarkable memoir of resilience and redemption, and a revelatory look into a family at once deeply dysfunctional and uniquely vibrant. When sober, Jeannette’s brilliant and charismatic father captured his children’s imagination, teaching them physics, geology, and how to embrace life fearlessly. But when he drank, he was dishonest and destructive. Her mother was a free spirit who abhorred the idea of domesticity and didn’t want the responsibility of raising a family.
The Walls children learned to take care of themselves. They fed, clothed, and protected one another, and eventually found their way to New York. Their parents followed them, choosing to be homeless even as their children prospered.
The Glass Castle is truly astonishing–a memoir permeated by the intense love of a peculiar but loyal family. (less)

Jeannette and her siblings try to aid their homeless parents, who are still unwilling to make responsible choices and prefer living on the street to gainful employment. Jeannette talks about the guilt she feels sitting in a taxi en route to her Park Avenue home after seeing her mother rifling through a trash bin. (Late in life, Rose Mary admits to having land in Texas that’s worth a million dollars. She never sold it and still won’t, despite all their years of poverty, because she wants to keep it in the family.) Jeannette never condemns her parents’ erratic, irresponsible behavior but does her best to support and love them. from http://www.focusonthefamily.com/parenting/protecting-your-family/glass-castle

Re: Thay’s present health condition and how to support Thay’s recovery
Plum Village, November 12, 2014
To all Plum Village Practice Centers,
To all Practice Centers and Sanghas World Wide,
To our Dear Beloved Friends,
With a deep mindful breath we announce to the world the news that yesterday, the 11th of November 2014 Thay, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, experienced a severe brain hemorrhage. Thay is receiving 24 hour intensive care from specialist doctors, nurses and from his monastic disciples.
At present, Thay is still very responsive and shows every indication of being aware of the presence of those around him. He is able to move his feet, hands and eyes. There are signs that a full recovery may be possible.
For the last two months, Thay’s health had already been fragile due to his advanced age. He was hospitalized in Bordeaux on the 1st of November. He was gaining strength day by day until this sudden and unexpected change in his condition.

3 years after to^nan graduation from graduate school:
The Bailey–Borwein–Plouffe formula (BBP formula) is a spigot algorithm for computing the nth binary digit of pi (symbol: π) using base 16 math. The formula can directly calculate the value of any given digit of π without calculating the preceding digits. The BBP is a summation-style formula that was discovered in 1995 by Simon Plouffe and was named after the authors of the paper in which the formula was published, David H. Bailey, Peter Borwein, and Simon Plouffe. Before that paper, it had been published by Plouffe on his own site.[1] The formula is
\pi = \sum_{k = 0}^{\infty}\left[ \frac{1}{16^k} \left( \frac{4}{8k + 1} – \frac{2}{8k + 4} – \frac{1}{8k + 5} – \frac{1}{8k + 6} \right) \right].
The discovery of this formula came as a surprise. For centuries it had been assumed that there was no way to compute the nth digit of π without calculating all of the preceding n − 1 digits.

Since this discovery, many formulas for other irrational constants have been discovered of the general form
\alpha = \sum_{k = 0}^{\infty}\left[ \frac{1}{b^k} \frac{p(k)}{q(k)} \right]
where α is the constant and p and q are polynomials in integer coefficients and b ≥ 2 is an integer numerical base.
Formulas in this form are known as BBP-type formulas.[2] Certain combinations of specific p, q and b result in well-known constants, but there is no systematic algorithm for finding the appropriate combinations; known formulas are discovered through experimental mathematics.

Spectrum of a bandlimited baseband signal as a function of frequency
Bandlimiting is the limiting of a deterministic or stochastic signal’s Fourier transform or power spectral density to zero above a certain finite frequency. In other words, if the Fourier transform or power spectral density has finite support then the signal is said to be bandlimited.
In general many terms are required in a continuous Fourier series representation, but if a finite number of Fourier series terms can be calculated from that signal, that signal is considered to be band-limited.

In mathematics, the support of a function is the set of points where the function is not zero-valued or, in the case of functions defined on a topological space, the closure of that set. This concept is used very widely in mathematical analysis. In the form of functions with support that is bounded, it also plays a major part in various types of mathematical duality theories.
from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Support_(mathematics)
In mathematics, a duality, generally speaking, translates concepts, theorems or mathematical structures into other concepts, theorems or structures, in a one-to-one fashion, often (but not always) by means of an involution operation: if the dual of A is B, then the dual of B is A. Such involutions sometimes have fixed points, so that the dual of A is A itself. For example, Desargues’ theorem in projective geometry is self-dual in this sense.
from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duality_(mathematics)

A recurring theme in mathematics is that of duality: a mathematical object {X} can either be described internally (or in physical space, or locally), by describing what {X} physically consists of (or what kind of maps exist into {X}), or externally (or in frequency space, or globally), … “tra(m na(m trong co~i ngu+o+`i ta chu+~ ta`i … local … chu+~ me^.nh … global … khe’o la` ghe’t nhau … recall from previous notes that in the pendulum waves each pendulum is “local” oscilation that can be “described” by a “global” pendulum wave or “oscillation” even though the pendula are “independent” so that their “local” oscilations are also “independent” …

Carmina Burana (abbreviated CB) is a manuscript written in 1230 by two different scribes in an early gothic minuscule (small letters; what is today called lower-case, as opposed to majuscule – large, capital, upper-case, used in Roman manuscripts) on 119 sheets of parchment. In the 14th century, a number of free pages, cut of a slightly different size, were attached at the end of the text.[3] At some point in the Late Middle Ages the handwritten pages were bound into a small folder, called the Codex Buranus.[4] However, in the process of binding, the text was placed partially out of order, and some pages were most likely lost as well. The manuscript contains eight miniatures: the rota fortunae (which actually is an illustration from the songs CB 14–18, but was placed by the book binder as the cover), an imaginative forest, a pair of lovers, scenes from the story of Dido and Aeneas, a scene of drinking beer, and three scenes of playing games – dice, tables, and chess.[5]
The Forest, from the Carmina Burana
History[edit]
Older research assumed that the manuscript was written where it was found, in Benediktbeuern.[6] Today, however, Carmina Burana scholars have several different ideas about the manuscript’s place of origin. It is agreed that, due to the dialect of the Middle High German phrases in the text, the manuscript must be from the region of central Europe where the Bavarian dialect of German is spoken, a region that includes parts of southern Germany, western Austria, and northern Italy, and that, because of the Italian peculiarities of the text, it must be from the southern part of that region. The two possible locations of its origin are the bishop’s seat of Seckau in Styria and Kloster Neustift near Brixen in South Tyrol.

… by describing what {X} globally interacts or resonates with (or what kind of maps exist out of {X}). These two fundamentally opposed perspectives on the object {X} are often dual to each other in various ways: performing an operation on {X} may transform it one way in physical space, but in a dual way in frequency space, with the frequency space description often being a “inversion” of the physical space description. In several important cases, one is fortunate enough to have some sort of fundamental theorem connecting the internal and external perspectives. Here are some (closely inter-related) examples of this perspective:
The uncertainty principle The behaviour of a function {f} at physical scales above (resp. below) a certain scale {R} is almost completely controlled by the behaviour of its Fourier transform {\hat f} at frequency scales below (resp. above) the dual scale {1/R} and vice versa, thanks to various mathematical manifestations of the uncertainty principle. (The Poisson summation formula can also be viewed as a variant of this principle, using subgroups instead of scales.)

The Place: Harry Hope’s bar, a cheap gin-mill of the five-cent whiskey, last-resort variety situated downtown on the West Side of New York. The Time: Salesman Hickey’s birthday celebration, two days during the summer of 1912 — a time when all tomorrows are forced abruptly to become today; when the delineation between hopes, dreams, and pipe dreams disintegrates; when “self-knowledge” destroys self-respect, compassion — and life. One of the last of Eugene O’Neill’s plays, The Iceman Cometh stands today with Long Day’s Journey into Night and A Moon for the Misbegotten as the supreme expression of his dramatic genius.

“Up Around The Bend”
There’s a place up ahead and I’m goin’
Just as fast as my feet can fly
Come away, come away, if you’re goin’
Leave the sinkin’ ship behind
Come on the risin’ wind
We’re goin’ up around the bend
Ooh
Bring a song and a smile for the banjo
Better get, while the gettin’s good
Hitch a ride to the end of the highway
Where the neon’s turn to wood
Come on the risin’ wind
We’re goin’ up around the bend
Ooh
You can ponder perpetual motion
Fix your mind on a crystal day
Always time for a good conversation
There’s an ear for, what you say
Come on the risin’ wind
We’re goin’ up around the bend
Yeah
Ooh
Catch a ride to the end of the highway
And we’ll meet by the big red tree
There’s a place up ahead and I’m goin’
Come along, come along with me
Come on the risin’ wind
We’re goin’ up around the bend
Yeah
Do-do-doo-do
Do-do-doo-do
Do-doo-do
Do-do-doo-do
Yeah
Do-do-doo-do
Do-do-doo-do
Do-do-doo

“Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, also known as “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”, is a song written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and originally recorded by The Shirelles. It has been recorded by many artists and was ranked among Rolling Stone ‘s list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time at No.126.

“property” ~ “observable” … an independent pendulum in the pendulum waves or a local wave has certain observable property or “ta`i” such as frequency of vibration … presumably the world/universe has other similar independent pendula or local waves … how the collection of similar independent pendula or local waves might related to one another might be investigated through the observable property such as frequency … fourier transform … dual space …
“Will You Love Me Tomorrow”
Tonight you’re mine completely
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow
Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment’s pleasure
Can I believe the magic of your sighs
Will you still love me tomorrow
Tonight with words unspoken
You say that I’m the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning sun
I’d like to know that your love
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now and I won’t ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow
Will you still love me tomorrow
Will you still love me tomorrow
Will you still love me tomorrow

Fire and Ice
By Robert Frost
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

ABSTRACT The most common sampling theorem is Shannon-Whittaker sampling theorem. While this theorem has been found very useful in many domains, there are cases in which it fails to determine the correct minimal sampling rate. Such a case is encountered in digital holography. It has been previously shown that a sampling rate that is lower than Nyquist rate can be applied in digital holography without loss of information. In this work we develop a generalization of the classical sampling theorem based on an analysis of the sampling process in Wigner domain. The generalized sampling criterion obtained is more widely applicable than Nyquist criterion. In particularly we demonstrate the application of this theorem in digital holography.
